Veteran Litigator Brings More Than 25 Years of Experience in Complex Litigation, Government Investigations and White-Collar Matters

MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Spiro Harrison & Nelson is pleased to announce that Bradley Harsch, former Chief of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, has joined the firm as a Partner in its Montclair office.

Harsch brings more than 25 years of experience handling sophisticated civil litigation, government investigations, regulatory matters and internal corporate investigations. He spent more than two decades at Sullivan & Cromwell, one of the nation’s leading law firms, before serving for six years as a federal prosecutor in New Jersey.

At Sullivan & Cromwell, Harsch handled complex matters for some of the world’s largest financial institutions, cryptocurrency companies and Fortune 500 companies. His practice included fraud and securities litigation in federal court; arbitrations and mediations involving commercial and contractual disputes; criminal investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and state attorneys general; and regulatory inquiries involving the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Federal Reserve and other agencies.

Harsch also served with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, where he prosecuted cases in the Government Fraud Unit, focusing on federal program fraud, and the Special Prosecutions Division, which handled public corruption and other high-profile and sensitive cases requiring senior-level experience and judgment.

He most recently served as Chief of the Criminal Division, supervising more than 70 prosecutors across eight units responsible for a wide range of federal criminal matters, including health care fraud, insider trading, securities fraud and other white-collar crimes.

At Spiro Harrison & Nelson, Harsch will draw upon his extensive private-sector and government experience to counsel clients facing complex litigation, government and regulatory inquiries, internal investigations and other high-stakes legal challenges.

Harsch earned his J.D. from Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall) and his B.A. in English and Military History, with honors, from The Ohio State University.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and Northern District of California, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Ninth Circuits. He is also admitted in California, where he currently maintains inactive status.

Outside of his legal practice, Harsch serves on the board of the Montclair Baseball Softball Club and is an avid reader of history and literature.
